The Boston Youth Music Charity is dedicated to raising money for local charities like Cradles to Crayons and worldwide charities like UNICEF. But we, the members of BYMC, are dedicated to more than just charity - making music brings us joy, and we have taken it upon ourselves to spread this joy throughout our community.
In 2011, a group of middle school musicians believed that they could make a difference through music. Boston Youth Music Charity was the result. Ever since, BYMC's primary goal has been to contribute to our community in any way we can. We took to spreading music, which holds a special place in all of our hearts. BYMC holds benefit concerts to fundraise for charities and also plays at nursing homes. Along the way, we have come to realize that the joy that music brings us should not be limited only to us. We feel so incredibly lucky to be able to experience this joy, and endeavor to share it with others.

Minghui Lin
Hailed as one of the 100 Passionate People (Taiwanese American Project), Ming-Hui Lin is a versatile cellist and pianist, an enthusiastic chamber musician, and a devoted teacher and coach. A native of Taiwan, Ms. Lin completed her Doctor of Musical Arts degree from Boston University and is a founding member and cellist of the New England String Quartet, which has been served as Ensemble-In- Residence at at Harvard University's Dudley House since 2012. Ms. Lin recently joined the faculty of the Preparatory School at New England Conservatory.
